Our Work

Suku Anak Dalam (Orang Rimba)

The Anak Dalam Tribe, also known as the Orang Rimba, are the forest-dwelling communities of Jambi, Indonesia. For generations, they have lived in close harmony with the rainforest, stewarding its resources and preserving a rich cultural heritage rooted in resilience, ecological knowledge, and deep connection to nature. Today, an estimated 5,652 Orang Rimba live across five districts in Jambi: Sarolangun, Merangin, Batanghari, Tebo, and Bungo.

Indigenous CHWs Training & Supervision

At KantiHealth, Indigenous CHWs are our core constituency, embodying the community’s aspirations, needs, and strengths. As trusted members who speak the language and hold deep local knowledge, they form the most effective bridge between the community and the health system. We ensure they receive the support they deserve and partner with them to develop education materials and programs that truly reflect community needs.

Community-based TB Screening & Diagnosis

TB causes disproportionate death, reduced productivity, and profound suffering for the Anak Dalam Tribe. Limited access to quality TB care worsens outcomes and accelerates transmission within the community. Our community-based TB care aims not only to treat patients, but to accompany the community in their journey to thrive amid the pressures of social transition, displacement, and ongoing threats to their well-being.

Patient Navigation & Accompaniment

In serious illness, navigating unfamiliar healthcare can be overwhelming and reduce the effectiveness of care. Having someone you trust to guide you in a way and language that feels natural can be a matter of life and death. As Indigenous patient accompaniers, KantiHealth advocates for patients and supports healthcare workers in communicating effectively, ensuring the best possible outcomes in each visit.
